With over two decades of serving the Naperville community, Maple Park Dental is an established state-of-the-art neighborhood dental office. Additionally, we employ low-dose digital X-Ray systems, reducing radiation exposure by 80%. Luma Dental was founded in 2005 by two local brothers from the UAB School of Dentistry, Dr. John and Dr. Ted Poczatek, with a vision to create a practice that would benefit the community and its patients.
The brothers were joined in 2007 by Dr. Holt Gray, a good friend and a specialist in dental restoration procedures (prosthodontist), and a Resident Professor at UAB School of Dentistry. The practice grew again in 2009 with the addition of Dr. John’s wife, Dr. Wendy, who is also a UAB School of Dentistry graduate.

In 2018, the team combined their three locations, McCalla Dental, Cahaba Dental and Southlake Dental to form Luma Dentistry. Today, the practice continues to grow and now includes over a dozen doctors at several convenient locations across central Alabama.

Engaged in community service, the team participates in programs like Give Kids a Smile and The Foundry Rescue Mission and raises funds for disaster relief. Their annual “Project Restore” supports local endeavors and provides $10,000 dental makeovers. Rooted in central Alabama, this team is truly committed to serving the needs of the community both in the present and the future!
